Bill Brooks is the Property Council Representative.

Building and Grounds Committee

The primary purpose of this committee is to maintain the physical facilities. In order to achieve the objectives of this committee, focus should be on, but not limited to, the following duties and activities:

— Establish and maintain a policy for the proper security of the church property and equipment.

— Maintain a current inventory of all the church assets including buildings, equipment, furnishings, and other appropriate items and verify its accuracy annually.

— Prepare and publish a schedule for those persons responsible for outside maintenance of the church and grounds.

— Schedule and supervise a cleaning day each spring and fall for general cleaning of the buildings and grounds.

— Monitor the contracts for pest control, cleaning (sexton), and maintenance of office equipment.

— Arrange for the purchase and delivery of janitorial supplies (towels, toilet tissue, soap) and kitchen supplies (cleaners, paper products, coffee, etc.).

— Purchase any item that is included in the approved operating budget after due consideration to the current cash flow position.

— Develop a plan to finance major repairs and maintenance by projecting those needs and make provisions for funding in advance.

— Arrange for monthly inspection of interior and exterior lights along with replacement of burned out bulbs as necessary.

— Be responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of the kitchen including purchases of equipment (appliances and utensils) from the Kitchen Fund.

Media and Technology Committee

The primary responsibility of this committee is to oversee the purchasing, functioning and training for all media and technology. In order to achieve the objectives of this committee, focus should be on, but not limited to, the following duties and activities:

— Advise on the selection of computers, software and computer peripherals. Advise on media equipment and training such as, but not limited to, recording equipment, phone tree, projectors, and audio/video equipment.

— Maintain a list of members for first call in case of problems and a list of approved professional repair technicians. Foster good business relationships with these professionals.
