“Give thanks in all circumstances…” (I Thessalonians 5:18)

I am grateful this week. Lent ended. Holy Week has come and gone. Eggs have been hid and found. Sermons written and delivered. Worships were remarkable, from Palm Sunday, to Maundy Thursday, to Good Friday, to the Day of Resurrection of our Lord!

Thank you. Thank you to everyone who had anything to do with our Lenten, Holy Week, and Easter Sunday worship experiences. Thanks to Pastors Smith, DuMond, Nelson, and Myers for making Lenten Wednesdays so special. Thanks to Angel Holland, for leading our worships in those mid-week times. Thanks to our music leaders Tony Mowell and Carolynn Bailey for their exemplary leadership. Thank you to our Heartsong Band and our Chancel Choir; you both are inspirations to us all.

Thank you to Richard Koepper, Prudy Zinser, and Maggie Flint, our leaders with Altar Guild, and all of your helpers. Wow. You always do amazing jobs with the preparation of the worships we have planned. You have been flawless.

Thank you to our office staff. That would include Pastor Myers, Carolynn Bailey, Joni Cannon, Marcia Peters, Phoebe Sand, and Deb Soike. We have been blessed with these people who have taken on many, many tasks of the office. Now that our dear Marjene will not be returning, we will rely on them all a little while longer. Hopefully we can get to work on finding a new office manager soon. I thank you, ahead of time, for your prayers about this endeavor.

Thanks to Melissa Malenda, for all that she does day in and day out. You bring peace and hope to many. You are a comfort to every heart.

Thanks to all our committees who also took on extra responsibilities during these past seasons with meals and other leadership responsibilities. Thanks to Barbara Diehl for organizing meals after worship services to memorialize many loved ones over the past months. You and your crew always do the greatest job.

Thanks to the Congregation Council. They are behind the scene of every task needed to be accomplished and with little fanfare. They do so much that you might not ever realize!

Thanks to my family: Mary Alice and the children and grandchildren. I try to say it as often as I can, but you inspire me every day to go work and serve God in the best way!

Thanks to Our Saviour Lutheran Congregation. I am proud of the untiring love that you all show in every single way! I appreciate your every effort in service to Christ through the greater community outside the walls of our church walls.

Thanks to you, Jesus Christ, for you are the ultimate inspiration. Your life, death, and resurrection leads us every day of our lives. You are reason for living, the hope of all life, and a cure for all ills.

And please remember, that God loves you and so do we!

Pastor Jim
